UPDATE: can't charge anymore May 09, 2010
By Anabel H.
UPDATE: I loved this charging station until two days ago. Then the little silver part -- that thing you see when you're plugging the power cord into the back of the cradle -- fell inside the case when I tried plugging it in. There's no way to get at that little silver thing, not without wrecking the cradle, and the cord won't stay in place without the silver thing. So now it's only useful as a place to put my phone when it's sitting on my desk. Tried returning it (purchased directly from Amazon), but it's outside the return window. This thing definitely isn't build to last. First review was 5-stars, dropping it to 2-stars.
I bought this, along with a Sedio Innocase cover, for my Droid last week. This dock works perfectly -- it holds the phone securely, charges the phone quickly, and still allows you to use the phone's features like video/music. The only drawback is price, but the other charging/multimedia dock I found on Amazon had poor reviews for using with a case.
This dock seems to be made specifically for use with a Sedio Innocase cover. When I tried the dock without the case, the phone wobbled like another reviewer mentioned. But with the case it works perfectly. It will still charge just fine without a case, but doesn't feel as secure.
When docked, the phone shows the time (big numbers), date (smaller numbers), temperature in my location with a icon that shows if it's daytime/sunny or night, etc. There's a lightbulb icon you can click to switch between two "scenes", one brighter, one dimmer. I prefer the dimmer setting, but that's still a bit too bright to have pointed toward my bed at night when I use the dock to turn my phone into an alarm clock. It's not a big deal, I just angle it differently.
I really like this dock despite the price, but wouldn't be as happy with it if I hadn't purchased a Seidio Innocase. You could put something under the right side of the phone to keep it propped up and level, if you really wanted to. If you don't plan on using a case, I'd get the other multimedia dock which is only $19.99.

Very disappointed Aug 10, 2010
By Matthew Morgan
When I first received this item I was pretty optimistic about the quality to expect. I have purchased 2 of the Droid cases from this company and they are nothing short of fantastic. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about this cradle. Which is a real shame since I was hoping to find an easy way to dock my Droid while still in its case.
The problem with this unit was that it was unable to charge my Droid. It would start charging the Droid but after a few seconds it would lose the connection and stop charging. I checked that it was not the cord by plugging it directly into my Droid, no issue. When I removed the case from my Droid, I was able to charge my naked Droid in the cradle, but that really isn't the point...is it?
I had heard about some issues with build quality but I gave this company the benefit of the doubt since I was so pleased with my Droid case.
I returned this product for a full refund.

Terrible Product Jun 04, 2010
By T. Luckie
Honestly, there is not a single positive thing I can say about this product. The dock is made from incredibly cheap materials, and is far too light-weight. The adapter for Droid without the Seidio case does not fit properly into the dock, and sticks up about one millimeter all around the edge. Getting the Droid to join the dock is an uphill battle--it's incredibly awkward and difficult, and truly does require two hands. Getting the Droid out is the same story.
And worst of all, the first time I plugged my USB charger into the dock, the port in the back broke off, and it is now rattling around on the inside--leaving my poorly built dock completely useless.
If you have the Seidio case, and need a dock for your Droid, seach elsewhere.
If you don't have a case, I suggest getting the dock built by Motorola. It's well built, allows easy access to your Droid, and won't break in a matter of seconds after opening up the box.

Perfect for the Droid Apr 10, 2010
By Brian A. Schar
Never worry about running out of charge, or where to plug in, when you keep your Droid cradled in this small, unobtrusive unit. It comes with a cord, unlike some cradles, so all you do it take it out of the box and it's ready to go. The Droid can even stay in its Seidio case while in the cradle for convenience. This is a slam-dunk no-brainer for Droid owners. You will not regret having this.

Piece of Crap! Sep 01, 2010
By Jordan Ullom
You had to perfectly place the charging cord into the dock and then angle it perfectly in order for it to charge your phone while it was in the dock. In order to put the phone on the dock, you have to move the dock a little, so every time it would move the cable so it wouldn't charge. I honestly don't know what the point of having a CHARGING dock is if the dock itself rarely actually charges. The cable never has any issue charging my phone, so I know thats not the problem. This is a terrible product. I will not buy from them again.
